Immersive Activities

Stage I – Analysis

The Analysis stage involves students gaining knowledge through immersive, inquiry-based activities focused on the film and arts industries. Students develop creative and cultural understanding through activities like artwork discussion, studio tours and live TV participation. They learn to appraise, critique, and reflect on how the arts are central to communities and cultures at large.

Stage II – Synthesis

The Synthesis learning stage equips students with skills and knowledge applicable to their personal and professional lives. Students actively explore and apply gained knowledge through specialised writing, pitching, acting and production workshops, which is then applied throughout their ChallengeX project. By participating in these workshops, students not only build individual skills but also adopt a stronge sense of teamwork.

Stage III – Thesis

After completing industry immersion activities and participating in the creative workshops and training, students put their skills to the test with ChallengeX Film Festival. This is where the higher order thinking framework and inquiry-based learning is demonstrated and celebrated. Students collaborate in small groups to create a captivating short film for the premiere night. ChallengeX Film Festival is an exciting red-carpet event that highlights the innovative ideas, technical mastery, and creative entrepreneurialism of the students, as they showcase their short films to a panel of expert judges.
